Received in today ready for a battery reseal is this Tag Heuer Link Searacer. This watch was Tag Heuer’s first sailing watch. In fact, a Searacer was worn by Chris Dickson who was the skipper in the Whitbread Round The World Race 1997-199 for the Dennis Conner’s Team’s ‘Toshiba’.

So what’s so interesting about this watch? Aside from the regular chronograph function, this watch features a Regatta function with an inner bezel numbered 1-10 which acts as a countdown timer.

This watch is in with us, not to check how quick we are, but for a battery replacement and reseal with pressure tests. We will, however, have this back with its owner in no time.

Importantly, once we’ve changed the battery, we’ll inspect and change the gaskets and reseal the watch correctly. We use our pressure testing equipment to ensure the watch is resealed back to Tag Heuer specifications and the owner has complete peace of mind when entering that Regatta.. or doing the washing up.
